"This is who I am.

When I was a boy I wanted to be a footballer. It's strange how life happens when you're making plans. I was diagnosed with Muscular Distrophy, a genetic abnormality which caused a breakdown in the muscles at age 9. I was depressed for quite a while because I was not sure what direction I wanted to take. That was until I discovered my musical ability and a way to express it. 

I became DJ MONSTAR.

I've learnt to play the cards I've been dealt. I've learnt not to whinge. And mostly I've learnt that I can do anything except be a stand-up comedian.

My songs deal with the concepts of being disabled, the politics of life, in and out of a wheelchair and a way to express myself. I want to communicate to the rest of the world some understanding of the world of disabilities and the people it affects.

My wheelchair doesn't define me.

I am more than my disability."

Arran Partington was days away from releasing his debut EP
when he passed away May 5th of this year.

The CD was completed by his family,
and passed out to all those who attended the funeral service.
