Moan just got a whole lot more dangerous
Our resident 'psycho-rapper' MOAN has just dropped the follow up
tracks to his extremely well received debut demo from 2010. The good news is that these
tracks are a massive leap forward in terms of sound and production. The bad news is that
Moan's outlook and lyric content remain as challenging and disturbing as ever.
"I was born in Melbourne on the 27th of April 1988. I never
really knew my father, my mothers name is Penny, I have two brothers Mathew & Lee, and
a sister Coral. We moved
up and down the East Coast over the years, before we settled in at Arlie Beach. I went to
school there until after Grade 6, when we moved to Sydney for a year so Mom and her
boyfriend could find work.
It was the first year of high school for me, so I got in lots of trouble
like doing drugs, vandalising, & getting into fights.
Until I found
music.
So I wrote a few songs, and recorded them when I got back to Arlie Beach. Then I
focused on writing rhymes.
After a few years my mother entered me into a talent contest, and I won 3rd prize.
I started making some beats and doing some more recording, and began
performing with a rock group around Mossman and the Daintree Rainforest.
I just
finished recording this demo, and I'm working on
some new stuff now"
