Rezzalp is what you get when you lock the four Plazzer sisters in a room and shout "PLAY". Over the years they have dedicated themselves to develop a sound they define as Pop-Theatre.

All songwriters and musicians, Helena, Suzanne, Bridget and Maryanne Plazzer have been trained in classical music from an early age. Having performed throughout their childhood together, the formation of Rezzalp in 2003 was a natural evolution for this sibling act. Helena's dramatic vocal style commands your attention when she is on stage. This is complemented by Maryanne's honest and melancholy vocal. Suzanne’s layered and dynamic approach to the piano adds a classical mix to their modern compositions and Bridget's eclectic sound on the violin is sparked from an interest in folk and Eastern music. The fusion of piano and vocal harmonies create the core of their music.

Rezzalp recorded their first track in their hometown Horsham, Victoria. Shortly after they were nominated for the Australian MusicOz Awards. In 2005, Rezzalp composed music for Blumugs award winning independent short film The Power of Thinking Positive.

In 2006, Rezzalp released their debut EP, The Preview, which was ABC's album of the week in April of that year. The track Animosity recieved a top ten position in ABC's national Fresh Air competition. This was followed with a live to air concert broadcast on ABC's Evenings with Derek Guille.

After taking an extended break, the girls regrouped to write their debut album. It took a year of studio mania, recording out of three different studios where Rezzalp pieced together their puzzling shakespearian thoughts for the debut release In My Dreams. An original concept album based on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream but more so an album of truths, where the girls stories unravel the complexities of love. You listen and decide which story belongs to which sister! In My Dreams will be released in 2010.

In 2009 Rezzalp also featured on Naked in the Woods. This all female compilation included Rezzalp's track Year of the Tear and tour with Katy Steele (Little Birdie) and Jen Cloher. Throughout the year Rezzalp composed music for several independant films and advertisements, establishing themselves as composers for new mediums.
