The
Sound Stash |
Kim Galpin founded Bravado in
2005. Bravado evolved into Smooth Jooce in 2008 and listed on download sites
overseas. The Donovan hit Season of the Witch which the band covered sold
extensively in USA and Canada. Smooth Jooce became Tomahawk Roan in 2011 due to so
many bands using the word smooth one way or the other. The band is based in Horsham
in Western Victorian and records on Quenesada Music and is now exclusively listed on
Quarterpipe.
The band currently consists
of Kim Galpin and Mark Enright, with new members currently auditioning. Kim Galpin
was previously in Sun House in Canberra and as a keyboards player was mainly influenced by
the 60’s bands Buffalo Springfield, The Blues Magoos, Electric Prunes, The Doors and
John Mayall as well as being into current house techno ala Ministry of Sound, The Aloof,
Groove Armada and the whole Ibiza sound.
Mark Enright is a
multi-talented bass player and guitarist. Mark was previously in Iron Madness, The
Iron Maiden Cover Band as well as bands in Melbourne and Horsham and has played gigs all
over, even in remote Aboriginal settlements. Mark is a bass arranger and loves to
compose bass riffs and licks. He is influenced by any good Bass playing and loves
everything from Scandinavian Heavy Metal to 60’s Pop and Blues. Have Bass Will
